A hankering for bread,,,,


Today after blog stocking reading blogs, I came across this easy bread recipe called "Hearty oat Loaf" it looked super easy and I had almost all of the ingredients! This recipe comes from Sweet Tooth Sweet Life! This recipe is slightly altered to suite my ingredient list.
Hearty Oat Loaf:
1 1/2  C flour
1 1/2 C whole wheat flour
1/2 C + 2 tbs old fashioned oats
1/4 C splenda or any sweetener you prefer
3 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp salt
1 egg
1 1/2 C almond breeze or any non milk product
3 tbs canola oil
2 tsp flax meal
2tsp chia seeds
2 tsp Pepita seeds (pumpkin seeds)
Preheat oven to 350* Mix flours,oats excepts the 2 tbs,splenda,baking powder,salt,flax,chia seeds,Pepita seeds and set aside. In another mixing bowl, combine,egg,milk,oil.Combine wet ingredients with dry and mix until moistened. Bake in loaf pan for 40-50 min depending on your oven. Test with tooth pick. (Mine cooked in 45 mins)

Verdict: This bread tasted really good. It had the texture of a biscuit or scone.
