It's friday people

Well hello bloggies! Today is a repeat of yesterday as far as weather is concerned. Its totally cold and snowy :(. That's OK because this morning for bfast I made overnight oats. They were incredible! In the mix was:
1/3 c old fashioned oats
1/2 c coconut milk
1/2 tsp chia seeds
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 squirt agave nectar
Just put them in the fridge overnight (hence the name) and voila. Amazingness (if that is a word) in a bowl. I also topped it with 1/2 container (small) poplait honey greek yogurt and another sprinkle of cinnamon. They oats were chewy and a great texture. Definitely a keeper.
What is this you ask? Banana soft serve of course! What is that on top you ask? Almond butter of course! What are those "white flecks" you ask? Sea salt of course! Sea salt? Yeah this is so good, it's that whole savory and sweet combo. You should give it a try you will love it. The almond butter sets up slightly like magic shell only better!!
Who is this you ask? This is my son Kallen. He is two  OK 20 months old. He loves anything that resembles "ice cream" only he calls it cream. Last night while making the aforementioned "cream" he and his sister kept whining I mean asking when the "cream" would be ready and I constantly had to remind them that the world doesn't revolve around them. We all know the world revolves around me the sun. Not rocket science people. Anyway how could you say no to a face like that? Well hope you all have a great weekend.

Ever have one of those days?

Do you ever have one of those days where you are not hungry but your mouth just wants to chew? I know its crazy but I am totally having one of those days. My pumpkin pie protein shake and Cliff bar  totally filled me up but my mouth just wants to keep on going. My remedy was carrot sticks. About 10 of them did the trick. I got creative with my shake today! In the mix was:
1 scoop vanilla brown rice protein powder
3/4 cup coconut milk
2 tbs canned pumpkin
1/5 of a block of tofu
cinnamon
stevia drops
nutmeg
ice
1 frozen banana
Blend,blend,blend
The end result was not too bad. Not as good as REAL pumpkin pie but I did sprinkle some Kashi go lean on top for "crust". Well today is looking better outside the snow has stopped tapered off and the sun is trying to come out. Hope my tomatoes don't die. Cross your fingers.
What do you do on days when your mouth just won't stop?

Happy Thursday Everyone
